I want to be a Project Leader .. in 2 years ..

Guess what .. this was a response given to me by a non engineering fresher graduate in response to a question, “where do you want to see yourself in 2 years time if you join us?” !
Of course, the person was not selected. Moreover, this was not the first time I got such an answer from the fresher non-engineering graduate who is aspiring to be an IT professional.
Its such a shame and probably now has come in a highlight because of the wonderful movie 3 Idiots, that our education system promotes only competition of marks and not of knowledge.
I wrote an article last year about the lack of innovation in India (not Indians) and the root cause in education system and for some reason, it was evident that the education system also gives importance to role or status of a person rather than the knowledge he has got within.
Another thing that made me unhappy about the answers I received during the interviews was the fact that none of the candidates gave me an answer that In next 2-3 years I want to be more knowledgeable and seek expertise in a technology and domain.
Every one wanted to be A project leader .. in 2 years !

… all this while ?
Simple answer – struggling to get a rhythm going in my daily schedule since I have joined back at my work in India. Life has completely changed since I have moved the shores and to be honest, it has not been easy.
The working hours certainly have impacted my schedule that allowed me to be in touch with my blog on a regular & much frequent basis. Office surfing restrictions certainly do not help either ..
Still quite a few things need getting done until I would call myself perfectly settled down and unfortunately looks like until then, I would be highly irregular and (hopefully less) irresponsible towards my blog ! Fortunately, I can keep up to few updates on Twitter & Facebook though ..

Home sweet home !!

Yes, its a different feeling when you live in your own home. Especially when you have purchased it long back but never had a chance to live and enjoy it properly !!
So finally I hope this time I would get a chance to enjoy life at my home and decorate my home as per my wishes. Although I did the decor of my home when I purchased it, I could not complete it due to me not living in there for sufficient time.
Anyways, now been good 2 weeks for me here and the home is coming in a shape. Sorted out the landline & broadband connection & the TV connection all of which are provided by Airtel. The mobile connection is also received through Airtel.
Would post the review of the service & installation experience later sometime on my blog.
Now the priorities change to getting the wood work done at home such as TV cabinet and my daughter’s bedroom. Hopefully within few weeks that would also be sorted out and I would live in my dream home !
Excited to be back home for sure !

No.. this blog is not dead !! … not at least as yet !!
Have been really busy in transit and setting up the house etc after arriving in India and that too with no internet access for all those days .. .. never mind, it has just re assured me that I CAN LIVE without Internet 
… a belief that I had almost lost while I was in the UK !!
Anyways, more information and more posts will follow. But for now, a joy to be back online !
